Elwood, VIC, AU, epic session at Pookipa. Finally a decent seabreeze that kept going until late with the usual suspects (except Jman and Bondy). That's probably why it was windy Wink. Didn't expect that much wind so my smallest sail was the 6.5. Could have been more comfortable on a smaller board too.

Evan, you were flying I had to work hard to pull away from you.  That Atomic is a quick board.  Did you have the Tribal Powermax in it?

Hi Martin. The atomiq really seems to like those conditions, or maybe it was the PowerMax, or a combination of the both I'm not sure. I was trying to catch you but just could'nt quite match your speed. One thing I noticed with the powermax - if it lets go, which happened a few times yesterday, it's a bit trickier to get it to grip again but other than that, awesome fins, really like them.

That's awesome speed Evan, you looked rock solid ploughing through the chop yesterday. I had trouble keeping the Rocket flat. Nice alpha too!

Sounds like a great session boys and looks like you had your gear dialed in Evan! I finally got a decent se at merimbula yesterday and had a good sail otherwise I would be a tad jealous today. Back Saturday so will be good to sail Sunday with you guys

Evan, A couple of times I saw you behind me catching up and went,  " No way is he passing me!!!!" so put the hammer down.  Could slightly pull ahead of you but got a bit crazy a couple of times doing it, very airborne!!!!  You were going faster than normal so I think that Tribal fin has really upgraded the board.

I love the Powermax for the rough water on the bay, rock solid.  It is not as slipery as the Slalom but super secure.  I had one spin out when I was pushing really hard upwind on Starboard tack and launcehd, it spun on landing.  I agree it is a bit harder to pull back when it does let go but it doesn't happen often.

great sailing Evan

i think the atom 100 is better in the chop , my atom 110 l it's great as long the chop is small , if chop gets bigger and i point the board downwind  “all  hell breaks lose” it goes faster and faster …  (i am still learning ) . up wind no problem.

Thanks Urs. Yeah, the 100 feels ok in chop, Elwood chop that is. I think the 110 would be much better with the 7m though. Martin, I guess the thought of you having to try an Ezzy would have been a good incentive to put the hammer down also :D
