Great day at the Pit with Drift, Old Salty & Crowie. 20+ knots from the NW. High tide for the first half of the of the day with quite rough chop & swell. Much smoother from 2pm onwards with some nice long runs along the east bar.

"away" game at the Pit

 

Wind up to 20 kts plus (NE).  Overpowered on the 5.9 but still got some nice runs.  Tried out new 38 fin and it felt great.

the outer bank was working but it was Very choppy on the inside.  Managed to destroy the Aquapak housing for the GPS so the GT31 got a drink!

It was either Inverloch or SP. As there was very little wind early on in the day at Inverloch and plenty at Wilson Prom. we decided on the Pit. Was a good call I think. Futura101 gybes nicely. Still, I stuffed up most of them with only a few feeling really nice planing the whole way through. Add a bit of rough water and my success rate really dropsCry

A lot of fun....and a bit worrying at the same time especially if you start too soon. Was nice coming down from the top end and then bearing away. My fastest speed was from that direction.....but I can't seem to nudge over the 30 Frown
