forecast looked good for a distance day so plans were laid....

Actual wind and family stuff put paid to that.

F2SXL, 7.8RSS, F2 42cm pointer

Got on the water at 2.45 having planned a dawn start (bit optomistic that was!). had a great session with Binny. Just the 2 of us despite it getting very good at the end.

initially comforable planing but nothing spectacular then towards the end (when Joseph drove off) it went a bit wild (sail became very lively, quite back handed and variable)

First time I tried the pointer, very much easier to go up wind and did take a bit of getting used to. First time I went from a speed run to heading closer to the wind it gave so much lift it spat me straight off.

A great pity I ran out of time as with the wind picked up I would have changed boards down in size to Iso105 or Snides SL62.... maybe next time.

Great going Ben. that is a tremendou speed for going across the chop in a southerlyCool

Would have tried the 62 today Snides but the wind was too little for most of the time I was on the water then I had to go.
