JP Slalom V 68cm, NP RSS MkII 7.2, F2SX 42cm.

Wind was lighter than yesterday, came very close to setting up the fear factory (ceptin I was fraidy cat). Eventually after some major fannying around got my collective poo together and hit the water.

The whole session had just enough power to work up wind where the wind was a bit more consistant, realistically would have been a bit smarter launching from Coody, the bigger fin definately helped (Thanks Steve) and rode well, didn't quite have enough power or mast foot in correct spot to realy ride of it till I pulled the base back about 10mm which realy freed up the front of the board.

Did a couple of long runs with Steve across to the other side but the 15-20kg and the 0.5m in sail size made a huge amount of difference, it was still good trying to keep up.

Twas a great little session, 2 days of good easterly sailing. that doen't happen very oftenCool

Spent most of this session messing around on the beach trying to get kit rightFrown

Left home at 6.30 and on arrival there was little wind, F2SXL 7.8RSS and 42cm pointer. Chris and Jemma turned up and sent me out as the sacrifice. By then the wind had picked up (although you had to be a few hundred metres out to find it ( and I decided after a couple of runs the board was too big to make the most of the wind.

Came in and nattered to Elmo, Idecided to go with Iso105 same sail and Elmos 36 pointer (thanks Elmo). I did 4 runs on this but the fin was permanently going sideways. At one point it let go completely and it was a pig to get the water to re attach, I had to nearly stopCry

Came in again and changed to 40 choco weedy. I love this fin. Now at last I had the right set up and had a blast going right across to point Grey. At no point did I find my front foot coming out of the straps at inopportune times: must re,member to tween boom height when this is happening.

Had fun racing Elmo, saw dolphins oin the water and the stink boats were always observant and polite. What a great day.

Left early for family stuff. It was great to be on the water.

Just noticed an odd thing in Realspeed, 5 consecutive seconds over 28 kts, all on a speed run yet the 2 sec figure for this was 25.372. I will ask for help understanding this one.
