Second session of the year. The wind was very light so I took out my new JP Slalom V 76 (122L) and my new 46cm Talon. The sail, board and fin combo felt great in the light winds and they should be perfect for light wind slalom racing. Although I was planing for most of the time, a lot of pumping was necessary and I managed to give myself blisters. My hands must be too soft after 3 months off the water! A pleasant way to spend an afternoon and very warm (14 degrees).

Kit: JP Slalom V 76, 8.4m NP RS:Slalom MK II, Tectonics Talon 46
Tech Details: Navi GT-31 V1.3 (B1123t), GPSResults v6.71, Doppler, Cubic Spline.

Hi Mike good to see you guys on GPSTC, Where does Team East mainly sail? I was from Peterborough 24 years ago! Keeping my eye out for some familiar names

Hi Neil,

Benno (Alex Bennett-Baggs) lives in Peterborough. We're from all over the place and I think we all have different home spots. If you can find an image of the "East England" region you will see how spread out we are.

Our region includes the Ray (Southend-on-sea) which is within easy reach of all the team members. If anything, that is the team spot although we haven't met up there since the formation on Team East. This winter has been pretty dire in terms of windsurfing opportunities!

Just found an old friend via Stephen Squirrel's FB, Nick Meyer, sent him a message. We used to have a lot of fun with him and Ray Cooper, 1983-86 ish windsurfing in Felixstowe.
