Another fun day up here.. checked small lagoon this morning, the surround look awesome, was sailable with 6.7 probably, tide looked low and wind gusty so I passed. I went to check the big lagoon (wanted to try for long time), the senic is just awesome and the drive is 2x2 on mid sandy 11ks then 4x4 on 11ks of soft sand, was the first real test with my car today and was a bit nervous .. Had a ball 4x4, left my tyre down at 20 PSI everything felt so soft, a real pleasure and cutting through sand like butter

The spot, I choose the lower part because the channel and possible NM, the openning of sea and not sure about how deep it was.

The wind was around 18 kts & tide was high finishing to come in (perfect timing to test), the green is 6m deep, dark green is weed bank, clear blue is sand- belly high, very clear blue (under my tracks!) is sand- knee high max. (touched few time!)

Even its was shallow there was no ripples, it was choppy, I tested around try to find a run but did not... the bad part was the weeds, just like on the coast there is a stack of it, and today I used a 24/45deg and still catching, dragging dramatically my speed and my upwind!! Tried to get deep in the channel, but the dune was quite high, was running out of wind.. NM has 2 alphas.. you loose about 5+ kts from the coast

Not a speed spot, but great area for camping, fishing, snorkling, normal windsurfing

Still was a great experience to do.. meet 2 guys camping right on the shore (in the wind), was fishing for sharks , lucky they told me only after!! The 2 beers after with those guys and the 4X4 back in the dark was great fun
