Slappa (3385km): Majestic Point, WA, AU Wow that was choppy. Full mental focus required challenging sail....tried to get upwind towards frreway for flatter water but was much too gusty closer to land. Not happy with speeds. sure felt alot faster. Big ups to those who go real fast today F2 SX 85litre 6.5 overdrive choco 31
Jet (3571km): Big day out. The Swan river was like the LOC without the swell. Was interesting out in the middle. Benny went out 500m turned around and came straight back, comment was along the lines of "you can jam this .............",and "Old not stupid". Soft Swam 2.5k at Beatty park then probably about 10k skating. Knackered. Isonic 76,6.7 Overdrive,30 Vector.
Troutty Trousers (AKA Fish Pants) (20226km): Peli Pt Isonic 86 Overdrive 6.5 Nitro 30 Didn't fell comfy at all but not as bad as SP who did the swim of shame after a snapped mast Nice bullets but none on the flat so had to put up with flying over the back of the chop. keep digging in that biscuit barrel Steve we all appreciate it
SOMEPUNK (6558km): Pelican Point, WA, AU Hard to believe I covered as much ground as the track record shows! Felt like I swam as far as I sailed after my mast broke in what felt like the middle of the river. A few too many catapults in the LOC sealed the fate of that masy I think and as it goes there could be worse places for it to fail. My greatest concern was being mowed down by the 9am ferry as I was right in the navigation path! Thankfully I seemed to alter it's usual course perhaps due to the wind direction.
Fellow windsurfer mateship is alive and well with countless sailors stopping to offer help and check on me. Thankyou to all and I am glad and heartend that so many showed care for another. |
