Lyttelton Harbour, NZ

Frustrating conditions, light and gusty, a fair bit of dredging being done. Lovely day though, with lots of sunshine.Wind was mostly confined to the far side of the harbour.

Haven't sailed the 7.5 for quite some time. Shocked by how heavy it feels. It's nearly worn out now after five years of use (!) and I will b glad to replace it next spring with a new Ezzy Lion and RDM to suit. Then I will be an all-Ezzy shop!

ExoScross 115, Aerotech Rapidfire 7.5, choco 42.

I took a few snaps to show you a bit of what things are like here.

Here's my gear on the rigging area, harbour in the background:

Here's the new launching zone that the local Windsurf club put together. It's a big improvement on their concrete ramp. There are sandy/muddy beaches at other points on the harbour but none of them at good places to sail from. Here's Low tide:

And high tide. Space is a bit limited...

And finally... Miss me yet?

All those rocks doesn't look that appealing. I hardly recognize you in that gear. Luckily your board and sail are next to you.

That looks cold, and yes we miss you. How on earth can we work out what sail to use without Ian already on the water. It is tough now.

I shouldn't talk up the cold too much - it's pretty mild at the moment. I don't want my fine Kiwi hosts to think Queenslanders are soft.

Hey Ian. Don't get used to it (the mild). Do you have warmer sailing gear?

You know you're soft and I know your soft (so am I), but we'll keep it a secret mickey mouse laugh
