Burrum Heads, QLD, AU  rs 4   7.5 koncept  

Weather forecast promised good things but unfortunately it didn't happen.  Rigged up early to catch the morning low tide. Hardly any wind for the first hour The wind filled in so had an enjoyable sail but the tide was well on the way in by then. i would have stayed out longer but everyone else went in. I think the promised sausage sizzle and beer at Ray's was a looking very attractive.

Burrum Heads, QLD, AU  rs 4  7.5 severne

Sailed with lots of 'Burrum Heads Mob. Wind changed direction but not quite strong enough. Thanks Ray and Gail for the enjoyable sausage sizzle afterwards. Very much appreciated.

Lake Weyba, QLD, AU 6.4 Koncept Lorch thunderbird 105/67/36

Magic sail at the lake.  The SE wind was actually failry consistent around 15knots and water fairly flat right across the lake. Was going to pack up after about 50km but the wind just seemed to come up even more and was having so much fun I stayed out there.  surprised I had done that much distance.

Did a Rudi and hit something in the middle of the lake big over the handlebars but luckily didnt damange anything.  Must have been some sort of fish!  Also hit 2 other things that feft like rope (maybe submurged cray pot lines?)  Lorch was very quick to plane and just kept motoring through the lulls.

good going guys and girls ,by the way i broke another 430 x6 mast . new  .yesterday riigging up my 7 m mk4  used around 7 times>.

Good sail at Weyba, Kellie. 

It was lumpy at Cootharaba but said I would meet Redbear there. Same tomorrow. Hope it makes me a better sailor

Sorry to hear of your breakage Hawk. Yeah Rags. So many masts have given in this season. Do you use Ezzy RDM's?

Kellie.......was that object out in middle of lake from where we launch?  If so, the same thing happened to me last year. Coming back from Burrum tomorrow morning. Helga playing hockey. Will sail at weyba if windy enough.

And i hit it too (twice). It seemed like a rope. It was straight out (bit over half way, I'd say) from where you launch in a north Easter. Would not have thought Kellie would be that far out in a South Easter????

Last day of the month and I kept all my balls,(unless someone from the team still to post?) Yeah this has got to be a first.

 

Yep straight up wind from launch area was there it seemed like I hit the rope but further out again and more to the northern end of lake where I hit something else

No wind here today, though the forecast was a little promising. I had hoped to add to my distance for the month. Here's why you don't move OS in the middle of the season:
November  489km
December  617km
January     450km
February    247km
March       116 km

Sigh. It feels like I've hardly sailed at all for about seven weeks. I have a suspicion I will not sail again until October. Hmm what's that, a six month wait?
