6.6m koncept, 105 x-fire, 38cm mfc, Great to get out on an unexpected bit of breeze, joined later by Shane and Stroppo, who played his part in the ongoing saga of mast breakages. Surprised

Body feels like a distance day but the results show otherwise Cry

Avalon Bay

Volunteered to teach a young guy to windsurf, conditions a bit too strong for a first lesson the slow easy way, so had a go the fast hard way.

He didn't feel he'd achieved much, but I did warn him, learning to waterstart first is like that.

Managed to modify the old windsurfer one design so I can fit a standard chinnok mast base on it.

Next time if the wind's lighter we can plug the 4.0 into that, and he can try uphauling.

After he'd had enough I put the 6.0 on big board with the 40cm carbon pointer.

Nice fin Stroppo, got me planning real early, went up wind nicely, didn't feel like too much of an anchor going down wind.

Only thing is, makes it very hard to turn, riding waves was somewhat drawn out.

Spins out at low speeds though, especially when landing jumps.

Safety Bay, was just enough wind for the 5.8 and 25cm Cool, but not enough to sail around the pond (realisticly was a 6.5 session). Nice cruisy sail, went all the way up to the giant channel marker and back. Quite choppy messy in some section with the tide going out, happy with my Hr. Good fun all together. Catched up with Rod and Mitch on the way back Wink
