Boggy Lake, SA, AU Great to get back on the water, first sail in a month or so, thought Id forget how. An enjoyable mid week session with Gareth and Shaun a new guy at Boggy who is learning.  Wind was probably 15-18 ,20 max from the NW to W, good waves to work along but a bit up and down as is usual from that direction.  6.0m Severne NCX 103L. A good workout for Saturday which looks OK

Good to get on the water after a 2 week break....Thanks to Geoff for talking me into closing up early to go for a sail. Very gusty 10-20 knots WNW but not too choppy. Hot sails Maui Speed Demon 8m, Hifly Madd 165, 2 x Black Project S Type 35.  Looks like there will be some wind on Saturday and Sunday for a sail.  Smile

Excellent speed with the 8m Speed Demon sail SWS.

Can you tell me what the 8m is like? I have the 7.3m and 6.6m 2012 Speed Demons I bought off Jon. I really enjoy using them and feel they are the right sails for me.

I'm thinking of getting an 8m one too later on. I also bought a 460cm Hot Sails Maui mast off Jon and don't really want to buy a 490 mast. I think I asked you this question before but can you tell me again what size mast you are using with the 8m Speed Demon?

Hi Karl the 8m speed Demon is my favorate sail at the moment it is the one I use most. I am rigging it on a 490 mast. You might be able to get away rigging it on a 460 mast with 40cm of extension I would imagine it would just be a bit softer up top.
