Peel Inlet, WA, AU  Went for hr wif Decrep on an easterly, last 15 min winds diedYell TR-4 7.6m JP VI 76, JP 36weed, Hard to get decent hrs at this time of year so anything will do

7.5m koncept, 112 x-fire, 41cm carbonised pepeweed. Got down early to find Yo-yo blasting around. Wind filling in nicely, shame about the rocks in front of cobblers. If anyone finds a fin off the point, rebox it, it's a really good fin and had a ship load of work done on it. Yell

Nice sail apart from the lack of traction at the end.

Another fun easterly sail with Pepe, Hardie and yoyo, Matt Langer and Binny went out as I came in and the wind died.

Tried for the hr with hardie, the middle section looks like a 20kt average, but the last bit has huge holes in it.

Nice and flat on the sand bank out from the point, managed to avoid Pepe's rocks, thanks be to Hui (or somebody like that)

Used the 31cm woody weedy with big board, bit the bullet and rigged the 7.0 GTX, spent too long stuffing around rigging it, couldn't remember which extension to use and picked the wrong one, (too long) then once out took several goes to get harness lines right.

2 sessions

first Iso 105 7.8EvoII 36 jp weedy.

Launched near yacht club ( bottom right launch location) Initially not enough to plane, chugged back and forth and looked at the water.

came in to change up boards but it started to fill in. then there was enough to plane all of the time. went down wind (left on the image) and did a few runs in the flat water. Wind still building and beame fairly cool as sun went behind cloud ( i wore a shorty wetsuit) so went back to change to different board before it got too strong.

Relocated to distillery (mid left launcing spot) and rigged 7.0 with W52 and Elmo weedy 26 ish. Looked brilliant for an hour mission but it died away while I rigged and I was left with some fn runs and quite a few holes

Saw a large ray in 800mm of water, wingtips out of water by 150mm as it gently proceeded.

Not enough wind for decent gybes but I had great fun, has been ages since last sail.

Many thanks to Decrepit for combining the 2 files. It is wonderful having such good frineds in the GTC
