Dorans, TAS, AU

Crazy Mothers Day sail. Went to Blackmans Bay and the plan was to sail up into the neck at South Arm. Huge swell coming in so dodged some big waves and swam the gear out. Then got out into the middle of the river in the biggest swell I have sailed in the river. One huge wave (freak wave, not breaking, swell) came through and when I was at the bottom of the trough the tip of the wave was level with the tip of the mast. I then realised this was absolutely nuts and what the hell was I thinking. Sailed in and headed to Dorans. Sailed WC 2012 107, Sting 2 40cm and 7.0 Reflex 3.

Part 2. Got to Dorans and it looked really windy. No one there, what the hell, oh its Mothers day. Rigged the 6.2 Reflex 3 and then it started to drop out a bit. Took the 107 out to be safe but wanted to try the 34cm Sting 2. Combo felt pretty good just needed heaps more wind.
