We'd spent the arvo at the inlet waiting for the SW to come through. At 5.30, KGB, Skip and Jman bailed, leaving George and I.
At 6.10 George bailed.
Having driven from Phillip Island the night before I was pretty determined to give the day every chance. At 6.20 the wind picked up a bit...
At 6.40 I got on the water for a 1hr blast on the big gear, with the angle perfect for the bottom end of the inlet.
It was a great time being the only one out, coming into sunset, with the whole sandbar to myself. -A cruisy sail with dead flat water.
Very happy with the 19 alpha, given the 5x10 sec was only 22.96. Made the drive worth while.
