Well...my first report from Europe. After a few cold days it was good to see the sunshine. We got an unusually warm day with warm southerly wind which is less often around here. Mostly they get the cold but more reliable north westerlies. Oh yes... the "here" is the Neusiedler see in Austria. They hold PWA events too near here. Its one of the most reliable windy places in Europe. Luckily its only a good hour from my home town in Hungary. So, at the moment l still havent got my act together and arrived without a mast and boom. Of course you know what it's like with borrowed gear. The inducers wobbling on the skinnier mast and the boom being about 20cm too long. Need l say more? !?! Anyway, l have used a 6.4 sail on my only big 75cm wide isonic. It was just right so we can guess how strong the wind was. I just know that it was very gusty and changing directions as well. Who is the fussy customer? Loved it even if it lasted only a half an hour as one of the pannels has exploded. Still it was a lot better than nothing. No smooth patches of course but nice chop. We'll see how it goes in Hungary next. I have downloaded the map but it doesn't show enough for some reason. Ciao..till later
