Another learning session - First run and crush on 32knots.
Result: First run -> crush on 32knots speed -> twisted front strap ankle, and rib number 8 fracture -> urgent care -> x-ray -> inflated medical boot -> ice packs 10 min every 30min -> Tylenol (no blood thinner), incentive spirometer to prevent pneumonia -> no windsurfing for month or two.
Lesson-conclusion for speedsurfing newbies: Do not go for speed on first run before you tuned up the harness lines, and on new equipment (I used 18cm. fin first time) in gusty wind conditions.

A touch windier than yesterday but loads of river traffic. Kiters everywhere and not many looking where they are going. Nice using them as jibe marks and admiring the kiter girls in their summer outfits!

Nice day at Fogland with Dani, Sabah and Fred. All looking good out there!
It was kind of unusual NW direction blowing 15 to 35+ knots. Sailed the North side of the point where decent size swells where pushed into the bay.......not the greatest set up for speed, but definitely good times.
Rookie mishap occurred to me today - i tried to sail with the fin cover on......that's not that easy!!
board - iSonic 94
sail - MS TR9 6.3
fin - Tectonic Talcon 34

2874 days ago Barnstable Harbor, Cape Cod, with Nina and Dean. Checked it out at low tide, wind was strong and constant. When we got back to start sailing a couple of hours later, the wind had dropped and developed big holes. Stuck to my freestyle gear since I had not brough the big slalom board. Still was a lovely 6.0 session. For once, Nina was powered in BH, and hacked away at Flakas. Dean was on 7.0/Falcon 111, but probably won't post since he did not break 30 knots.

2874 days ago Beautiful Barnstable Harbor, sailing with Peter and Nina!
Sailed with a broken finger after removing 7 stitches... purple and sore today! It was mostly a paranoid "feeling it out" day for me. I ran aground several times and almost hit a submerged concrete post. Tough sledding in unfamiliar waters, but still fun with my big gear. Winds and water were not good for speed runs, but on the bright side... we did not break anything. (sorry Al...)

After watching Bart, Sabah, Fred and few guys, I was feeling little better so I decided to take few run. It was fun to be in the water again. I took it easy had to stop after every run and get a rest hopefully soon I will be in full recovery.
Bart was on fire
Congratulation to Al, wish you speed recovery.
