Holloways, Kermit, Talon 40, Koncept 6.4.

Short arvo sail. The wind looked a lot better from the beach but still a top ten sail for this year.

Port Douglas, QLD, AU

Seems that something stuffed up with my GPS today.  Anyway, 4pm Four mile Beach Port Douglas.  iSonic133 litre, 49cm Select fin.  New Gaastra Savage 7.8m.  Finally blowing a stiff 20 knot breeze!  Had plenty of sail to play with and enjoyed some blasting runs on a choppy surface.  Me and a few kites out there, whooping it up.  Ed came down for a look and could not be persuaded to have a go.  Sailed for an hour and a half until I began to head over the front a few too many times.  Put more and more outhaul on and lowered the boom a bit.  Lots of fun to be had.  Ed had a look at the sail and said that I could have put even more downhaul on - which is something to consider for next time.  I am enjoying this new sail - lots of grunt and pretty stable - but, given the wind I would have probably been more comfortable on my 7.2m Fusion.  A very frustrating season, but this afternoon was a step in the right direction.  I think Ed plans to sail tomorrow and I will sail with him on Friday if the wind Gods decide to bless us.  Hope to post some numbers soon.

just 'saved to card' on my gps and got a few different readings including distance ...11.8 to 17.4....this happened last sail as well.

Eddie ...thank you for the words of encouragement....mabe better tomorrow.....but not sure as it started raining here!

Good to here Andrew was out again getting some TOW for the holiday.

Gaz...thank for the loan of the mast and the sail tape.....not bad numbers for the beach considering the wind had some holes in it.

Doc and Loc....great numbers again...great effort.
