2740 days ago 2 categories Port Douglas, QLD, AU Had all my work done by 2.30 and was back home on the couch. My mate Rick rang and asked if i was keen for a sail,i said i was, but had no ute as it was broken, and i cant fit all my gear on my dirt bike..20 minites later we were loading his cruiser wanted to take 2 boards down the beach but not enough room in his wagon..He told me to' man up' and sail small board as he was sailing my old 101 Falcon..Spent most of the arvo pumping 97lt Isonic on to the plain with 7.7m Niel Pryde rig and 40cm fin..Wind was freshing up out wide but wasn't game to go for a blast off the wind, as tide was being a pain in the ass, and i didn't want to struggle back up the beach...Rig and board felt solid when the late arvo breeze kicked in and i was keen to clock up some good kms of shore till dark, but my mate said his girl wanted him home by sundown..So i missed the best the wind had to offer and i didn't get my 75kms in, don't realy like rigging up for much less..I guess i have had worse sessions...Cheers Ed..
