Koncept 6.2, Sonic 56w/Delta 19

Could have used a bigger sail for better speeds but just felt like a cruise in the sun. Tide was very low, didn't venture much past the carparking area even with the Delta in. Went to have a 2nd run but wind dropped right out so called it a day. Nice bit of relaxation in the sun Cool

I started typing Wazza, and my autocomplete simply and correctly suggested Wazzasaggytit...( how good is technology!) Back in form with the quill old man, brilliant as usual. It's not been the same here, especially since you no longer drive past the Grab a Granny pub in full steamer with the window down and confusing the old dears; is it Batman or just Wazzarubberfetish?

Ah Fangy, those were the days! Whine, women and schlong. Sadly, however, my saggytit days continue but I am about to subscribe to a gymnasium to try to become trim, taut and t'riffic. Essentially, I aim to apply more downhaul . Or maybe it would be better as uphaul?  In any event, I'll end up needing a new beach wardrobe. Wazzawantslycra.

Ah , yes indeedy! The Ripping Yarns series is a particular favourite of mine  and I derive constant inspiration from it's lunacy. I know, I know, it's all a bit sad really but, hey, as long as I take the tablets.....Smile

Wazzasomep&q, It's a bit sad that such a beautiful body of water attracts such retrobates and that just the windsurfers! Come a try Wellington Point (Northern car park) on Saturday. The natives are friendly and apart from the odd kiter with no sense of direction, the water is safe. Parking will be at a premium so try and get there around noon for the change of shift. The bank will come out on the north side from about 2.00pm

Wazzaspook, I have been in touch with the chaps at ASIO. Apparently the Chinese consider the sandbank as part of the Spratly Islands. They plan to build a base, hence all the aggro and photos etc. The pontoon is just a landing pad for the surveillance drones in the meantime. So it's a win for you guys, no stinkboat traffic and a permanent landing strip should provide a nice nautical of smooth water.

Thanks Slippery for the kind invite but this Saturday I have to head off to Grafton on family business which, world over, is only ever conducted when winds are above 20 knots. I am really keen to try Wello in the near future though. You'll spot me as a pretty much motionless blob in the wrong place. I'm sure  that The Broadwater will get better after the holidays finish, assuming that a) all the holidaymakers go home or perish through misadventure, violence or lack of water sense and b) that all the ice-crazies  recover very slowly from their injuries in hospital. And the directionless kiters?....well. there's absolutely no hope there as we all well knowTongue out.

FangyAssange...now I comprehend....I hadn't worked out the Chinese angle although they are angling to build a casino here on the banks of The Broadwater....for Chinese high rollers..who, presumably play pontoon. Hmmm...what a cunning plan. I think that you are telling me that when I hit the chop chop I will  no longer have room to land on the 21 pontoon? Sounds like even more water starts then.Frown

I am calling Guinness World Records now. Surely no one has managed soooo many bad puns in one paragraph before! Can we assume 'family business in Grafton' means its visiting day at the gaol? ( I would guess its the MInister of Disappointment's side of the family?)

Wazza, If you can head down to Grafton a day early, you could mix business with pleasure on the Friday afternoon. The Clarence River mouth at Yamba has a river training rock wall you can sail behind in a NEer. It can get lonely as there is only one regular sailor in the area. His nickname Ezric on Seabreeze, Ezza from the Board Crazy Crew on GPSTC.

Firie stop posting your private photos online! Haven't your kids taught you anything?!. Now, how do I click on that 'flag as inappropriate' thingo on the bottom right?

Firie, that's not me. I have a Junior cup, very Junior indeed. Hung like a grasshopper.

Slippery, thanks again and I'm very keen to try Yamba in a northerly but no can do this Friday....bloody work! Last time I crossed the bar into Yamba/Iluka was in a 15m yacht in 2012 and we very nearly got cleaned up by a random set...revenge will be sweet!
