South Bird Island, Corpus Christi, Texas. I have never seen that much white on the water here! One nearby wind meter showed averages above 40 mph, and gusts above 50 at times. I never had the slightest problems getting the 72 l board going with a 5.0, so I bet even the lulls were above 30. Unfortunately, Nina was overpowered on her 4.7, and re-injured her triceps that got hurt on our first windy day here last Sunday, so she did not get to do a single speed run (but a lot of walking ).

I only got to do 7 speed runs, but 5 of them came in higher than my previous PB.  I might have been able to get a bit faster with a longer session, but instead decided to go back when Nina stopped.
