Sanctuary Point, NSW, AU Ray 140 - Manta 61 - Ryde 6.5 BPweed 36

Lots of promise today, was keen for some big Km's. Started out early with Gav on the Ray 140 waiting for the wind to kick in. Love cruising around on the big board. When the wind kicked changed to the Manta 61. The wind was looking angry for a while with some sonic gusts making it hard to hold onto the 6.5 at times. Enjoyed some nice blasts to Wrights with a bit bump a jump and the usual fast gybes in the turning circle of the ramp.

Botany - Keemagh - Falcon 99, OD 6.2

- data loaded manually from file rescued by captain (thank u Keef!)

Everything looked good leaving home today, blue sky, wind in the trees, loaded up the middle & small gear, got to Keemagh, stinking hot day, rigged up 6.2 as breeze looked looked good and as I hit the water.... zzzzzzz...wind died off almost straight away. Bummer, had a few runs as the storm clouds got darker and darker, then on last gybe I saw a flash of lightning and decided to head straight back in. Watched with the others as the storm built up, airport had planes diverted after coming into land straight back up into the air, other planes were stopped on runway, and the storm hit proper. Ran to get gear and derig in the rain, a bit scary with the lighning but got everything in, just forgot to turn off the gps Embarassed, thanks Captain for rescuing my data, trhat 13.914 ks will come in handy soon Wink

lucky you got in before the storms Gav. Was about to rig and then it swung offshore and dropped. Looked like Dezza had a bit of fun though.
