I May have left too early today.... just as I sat down on the couch with a cappa and hot chochlate muffin, I hear russel calling.

(Russel is the sound of waving leaves outside...)

But I had had enough racing the jetski's (which were very well behalved in the competition!).

iSonic 90L a tad small especially with only a 31cm fin (Select VMax).

I should have rigged 7.7, but wanted to re-try my new 7.0 TRxi, which was fun. I did miss the extra depth and 10% area at times, but in the gusts felt really good!

Erowal Bay, NSW, AU 15-25kt SSW || 94 Isonic, 6.0 Simmer/5.0 Hotsails, 28cm Delta Slalom

Always wanted to sail this place and the opportunity finally arrived. Had a few runs there with Gustbuster Nigel

What a beaut little spot, and tucked in the north corner of Old Erowal Bay it has very flat water, at least compared to the rest of the Basin today. Easy to sail. A little less water, more weed, and more south in the wind would have had us longer, flatter runs and better gybing, but still today was a blast!

15-25kt consistantly with a number of gusts easily pushing 30kts.

Congratulations on 3 PBs Andrew!

The new location sure did help with your speed and alpha racing. Or are we seeing the results of all your time on water😎

Sounds like a top spot to try out myself.

Seems like everyone else left soon after me (wind dropped from 20gusts and 2 lulls to 5kt gusts)... before picking up to tree limb shaking around 5PM.

Congrats on the PB's Andrew!!!

3 in one day, massive effort. It's amazing what a little flat water can do!

17kt alpha is non-to-shabby, and I remember when I was stuck on 27kts, then 28, then 28.2, 28.8, 29.4, 29,8, 29.9, 29.99.... 30 will come!

Cool

And it looks like your NM had at least 3 gybes. Sweet

Big bag of PBs mate. Well done. They're great numbers. 20 alpha and 30 2sec is just around the corner.
