Port Douglas, QLD, AU..97lt Isonic left Ed's back yard repair shop this afternoon with  some fresh nonskid on deck and a pollished bum...got down the beach after work for an afternoon session with Andrew..Had a good breeze blowing and the forecast was for a big session..Wasn't sure what to rig, so ask the wind gods for some advice ,, the 'word of the day 'was big sail small fin and hang on..Dragged out burnt out 6.6m North rig and pulled the top cam out of it so it would twist off better when the going got tuff..Cranked it down hard and went in search for what i call a small fin..Ht the water fully lit up with 36cm fin ,which was hanging on well in a angry grey sea that just got rougher an rougher..Had a great blast with wind going from 20 to about 28kts in the gust out wide..Andrew did well in the choppy sea and the wild up an down wind he came in happy..Session was cut short as the wind gods shut up shop and went home before sundown..Had to limp back to shore and do the walk of shame..New there was gunna be something dodgy about this session...Am looking for a 6.6m sail that isn't as totally trashed as mine and has some cams if anyone has one forsale that would be cool..Cheers Ed..

Port Douglas.  GPS ran flat battery.  Had a great Friday session with my mate, Ed.  Looked like smelly shorts weather so decided to rig 6m Gator.  Ran my smaller fin 41cm, but, on reflection should have gone with the 45cm.  Atomiq 120 board.  Was a bit worried but just got stuck into it.  Some nice runs in and out - and no fatigue - great to get so much time on the water lately.

Concur. Great effort in the Pt D Soup. Ed, I have a NP 6.7 RS that might get you out of trouble for a while. I think originally it belong to the Doc, hence it has a repair, but would look normal in your collection Tongue outWinkSurprised

Eddy....great effort and some jellies to go with it...yummy.

Maybe cut down the speeds and the distance and the sails might last longer...have you thought of that.Wink

Snorkel....good to see other FNQ MOBSTERS getting out ....and getting some jellies.Cool

Yer thanks guys all a bit of fun..New i would pick up a little extra speed as i was running a smaller fin than usual..Just had to try and stay focused in a chopped up sea..Hey Billy will have a chat to you about that sail..If the Doc owned it i would say it would be a good bit of gear...Laughing
