Melville Beach, WA, AU

Only a quick blast today. Didn't get out far enough to get any good runs off the wind. Tested out a second hand boom which thankfully didn't break despite some of the plastic looking a bit suspect.

Melville Beach, WA, AU iS111, 7.5T4 33 tribal weedspeed 12-16 kn and cold!

Just enough wind for another session practicing turns on the big gear again. 47 turns in the hour. I can feel I am getting the gybes and tacks smoother, but it is a slow process. I nearly managed to stay dry today, which would have been nice, as the wind and water were cold. I only fell in on one gybe, turn #41 about 50 minutes in, and of course it was out in the deep. Drat. Wet and cold. As I had planned to do only an hour anyway, it was a bit annoying to get wet at that late stage. It is not unusual to start dropping gybes toward the end of the hour but this time it was becasue the wind dropped out just before the gybe rather than fatigue, and I messed up the underpowered rig flip.

It was good to catch up with Boz and Ben. Ben was zooming over the water and laying down some impressive gybes. I still have a long way to go.

Boz decided to stay warm and dry. That idea had its merits but I needed a training run.

Cripes I think you're fitter than me 47 turns! I'm rusty at the moment and no strength.
