Waterfront Park, Hood River, OR USA UBlox 18hz GPS

Wind held in for just on an hour which was good of it. Water nice and clear with most of the debris littering the shore. Comfy session on the 6.4 EVO8 and 95 replica, billy no mates until some windfoilers showed up. Dale Cook wanted to race so let him at it, those windfoils aren't as fast as a windsurfer! Watched him have a mighty crash, took him a bit to come up but he was OK.

Roo, sorry, this time no backup from me. Wind died a day early here. Long range forecast looks pretty bleak - probably ten days or so before we have sailable winds again. Wind would be right on the borderline if I had my new-to-me gear but it is still all in The Netherlands. Taty is expecting to bring it back to Bonaire the end of November...

I looked at the wind reading at the Event site for this afternoon - you did very well for being on a 95/6.4 kit. I'm guessing I would have been stuck in/to the water if I had been on it. So, what is your match weight now, you lean racing machine Laughing?

Down to 170 pounds today, same weight as when I was 20! Have tuned the gear to my weight and it works a dream, can't wait for La Defi. Only 6 months to go. Have all my boards, sails and fins tested and sorted for the event, just a case of staying in shape over the winter. Another week of wind coming up here with Easterlies. 90 days on the water so far this season.

Thanks for the update. We are, amazingly, essentially the same weight, but not the same fitness level Embarassed. I'll be spending the Winter trying to build while you are working to maintain...

While my 'days on the water' have not been nearly as productive as yours, my list, since I restarted windsurfing is:

2015 - 127 days

2016 - 93 days

2017 - 65 days to date.

I'm hoping to add another 30 days or so in November and December (with these days having some actual decent distances and time on the water).
