Stevenson, WA, US NP EVO8 5.6 430/400 mast, Naish SP80 replica, Vector Raven 26/28 GW60

More civilised day than yesterday when dogs were getting blown off their chains. Nice 30 knots blow from the east so lots of lumpy goodness on the river. Pleasant arvo crusing and linking together runs bewteen the swells. Angle not quite right for high speeds but fun session for a weekend. Footsrap screw cam out so buggered up the 1 hour. Trying different mast combos, liking the 430/400 setup, less pitchy in the gusts. Correction to distance from 18hz UBlox, forgot to turn GW60 on until out on the water.

Nice! Laughing. Good numbers for a 'cruise' Laughing. I suspect sailing without a footstrap in 30 knot winds was interesting - at least it would be for me.

Wind definitely went on vacation here on Bonaire - forecast is less than 10 knots for the next 7 to 10 days. Starting to look like I may be forced to do some house construction for a while - which is good as a little home improvement when there is no wind makes windy days more carefree.

Hit the gym bubba boy, get that body in shape! Not saying what shape but.....

Even though it was windy it was a really easy sail, total control and comfortable. Good for trying different setups. Still hit 30 without the front strap! A few more days coming up, got 4 in this week, hopefully the same next. Joneseying for a speed session though, can't wait for ARooBar to switch on.

You already have a good idea of 'what shape' Laughing.

Gee, a 36 knot 2 sec speed would be a speed session, for me Laughing, but you already know that. Hope ARooBar kicks in soon for you.

side topic: Yesterday started on a different steroid sparing medication (cellcept) to phase off of Prednisone. Interesting to be living in a universal healthcare country (and because of my permanent resident status, to have access to it). Unlike the US where when I left Oregon I was still hassling with the health insurance to cover the medication, it was easy peasy on Bonaire to get the prescription, pick it up at the pharmacy, and walk out with no copay! Hopefully this medication will work and I can get off of Prednisone and the cramping issue.
