Grassy Point, Corpus Christi, TX, US

PD 115, LB 8.6, F-HOT 39

SE wind, 8 - 22 knots. Average 16 knots.

First day in Corpus Christy, TX. Light wind with few good enough gusts to be somewhat powered up on downwind runs but spent lots of time just trying to keep it going. It was very low tide, jibing with 39cm pointer was pretty much scraping the mud. Too bad I was not here yesterday when it was blowing, but I'll take it Smile. Tomorrow looks the same...

Nice speeds, Boro. Good that you did not talk to the locals about sailing there, they would have told you that you can't use a pointer, and that you can't sail where you did - the usual tracks are much higher. In the ESE you had, BIB would have been quite nice, too, with runs right along the sandbar. But the wind would probably have been a couple of knots weaker.

Yes, wind was light with exception of few gusts. It looks like there is some thermal effect helping at Grassy Point and Corpus Christi Bay. It's always few knots higher there later in a day.

It's worth mentioning that fishing is really good here. Great fun for those low wind days!
