Melville Beach, WA

NM session - 29.86 on Port and 28.7 on Stbd.

The SilverBullet 64 is a NM machine, super-controlled and comfy even in 25 knot gusts and mid-river chop (tail on full-flex) Cool

WindTech 64 (114L)    Koncept 6.2   CLSW 28

Got to Melville late (3pm) after family commitments earlier.

Everyone was packing up and it looked pretty light, but I went out on the big kit and had an OK sail.

M137 + 8.4 TR8 + 44 Vector Volt.

Hooked one nice gust for the peak speed, the rest of the time it was a bit of a dawdle.

WindTech 64 cm , Ka Race 6.3 , 32 cm proto fin.

I did the Nautical Mile by accident. Had I known what it was about I would have kept going...just got bored and pulled upwind at the end...JJ explained my error so I know for next time. Lots of little things to learn about the GPS 'thing'...good fun though.Laughing

My 1st post on GPSTC!!  Was a pretty average session and was a little underdone with a 6.2m sail.  Launched from Bishop reserve and sailed in the bay opposite Point Walter for a few hours.  Look forward to meeting the rest of the crew on the Pinnaroos!

Cheers

Daniel

tailwind, most common cause of no alpha is going too wide. Try increasing the separation distance to 70 or something then you can see how wide you're going.

what is happening with these numbers? There are different sets everytie I log on, but never all of them at once...

Well done to everyone who sailed.

Congratulations Windtech on 4 more PBs.

Two impressive river nms from JJ and Windtech. Are you sure the Windtech 64 you were on was not a tandem?

re alphas and KA 72 - if your speed falls below a minimum speed during the alpha it won't register even if the proximity is OK. I usually check mine using another program.

All the speeds were blank when I uploaded mine early yesterday evening. Later I noticed a couple of results trickling in so I went back to KA72 and resent. Someone should mention it to Boz and Tailwind.

Cheers Stroppo. I like the look of those Hot sails. I'd like to check em out and maybe have a blast on one. Who's designing them ?

Looks like Neil would have had a 31or 32 if he'd gone the full mile Surprised

Not bad for a newbie Wink  It was choppy out there.

JJ, a bit of coaching required from the nm master! Lots of potential there!
