Jules (6841km): Foreshore Rd, Botany, NSW, AU Missed it by that much!! Gusty W/SW, dropping. 6.2m, then 7.0m. Isonic 107.
George (32558km): St George's sailing club, San Souci NSW, AU || 12-17 WSW RS5/ Koncept 7.5/ Canefire carbon 42 Got there late expecting the wind to turn South, but never did. Pleasant afternoon waiting for the gusts and enjoing
Andrew (15048km): Canton Beach, NSW, AU || 8-20kt WSW thru SSW || Exocet RS6, 7.8OD/10.0GA, 38 Demon/42JP Based on the look of the forecast this morning, the gut instinct said it wouldn't be easy to find a good session today. Took a punt on Canton, and it paid off - sorta. Amongst the inconsistancy there were still a few nice long powered up runs. Had the chance to further test some gear. The Tectonics Weed Demon has a great top end - even when fully powered up over the chop, but it's low end not so great - lets go quite easily with the slightest of chop well before coming off the plane - at least in comparison to other weedies of similar size. It just needs consistant power, and it's a great performer. And it trucks up wind at will! Spent the last few runs with the big Vapor - a nice safe testing ground to get more familiar with it before it goes back to Botany for the light NErs.
AlfaMale (18525km): Short and sour session at Primbee, NSW, AU Got there too late, as the westerly was fading. Few bullet gusts 30-90 seconds long. iSonic 90L TRX7.0 27cm spweedie - very high tide! |
