jacko had big stack, lost some skin, on hand, messy, (did not bring his small gear),pj tried 7m, that would have been fun getting back down wind, to rig smaller.

Total contrast from last sail. Misread the forcast and only took the big gear ( 6.3/ 7.3 & & 7.8) thinking it wa only going to be light. Put the 6.3 KA Race on the 115 Patrick with a 36 fin. Ok for awhile then way over powered. Could have been on the 5.5 and 92lt board.
Had a huge smash when hit by a gust lifted the board completely out of the water. Landing wasn't pretty. Smashed my hand on the boom and somehow ripped the top layer of skin to 50% of the top of hand. Don't think any broken bones. No gear damage.
Couldn't grip the boom very well, so had to grovel back to launch spot (45 min ).
Mike and PJ the only others there.
