Stansbury, SA, AU FF102,GPS7.3, FF22

12-17 Southerly with some 20 in it

After the unsuccesful first attempt with the FF22 today was looking more promising with a bit stronger wind forecast. Rigged the 7.3 and plugged the fin into the 102 Falcon. Straight away the fin was good, better than good it was great.Smile. It goes to windward like a train and felt fast off the wind as well. So, i give Fangy a 10/10 for a great finCool. I nearly lost the fin though. About an hour and a half in i stopped and noticed the back fin screw was missing and the front screw was loose. I was sailing with a 3 sixteenth gap under the front, and did not notice it whilst sailing along. Must remember to do them up proper tight next time.

Simon ,Chris, J and Kym sailed as well and were all sailing great, except Simon who is having spinout problemsWink He might need a Fangy.

So my new favourite fins are Lessacher and FangacherLaughing

Boggy lake 13 to 18 with the odd stronger gust.

Had alot of fun today and some pretty flat water for boggy made for a nice hour and cruise on big board.  Really enjoyed cruising with Sam, PJ, Casey and a few others.  Good turnout including a few girls with horses - shame they didnt have their bikinis on today Wink.

Patrik 115 / 7.1m gun sails gsr / Black Project R375.

Fun day on the big gear, started with a 7.0m but kept coming off the plane in the low wind spots,  went up to a 7.8 and the of course the wind picked up. Boggy Lake, SA, AU  RRD X-fire 112L, Gun Sails 38fin, Naish Grand Prix 7.8

Stansbury, SA, AU: 15-20kt SSE. 1 sail, 2 boards packed.  Due to repairing my Patrik slalom92 board, I got to Stansbury about 2 hours too late Cry. During rushed rigging, I put way too much downhaul and outhaul on my Ezzy Cheetah 5.5. I went out on my Patrik slalom 92 with MUF 22 speedweed and I had about 30min of sailing the edge of the mirror smooth water. I just could not get upwind enough to get onto the mirror properly and no bare aways (very frustrating). I was doing mostly tacks to stay upwind. After the mirror finished, I went in and put the JP 109 Supersport on + MUF 26 slalomweed. Bloody fin was catching weed. This was ruining my session - starting to get annoyed Cry. So, out of frustration, the Patrik 92 went back on, and then discovered my rigging error. Set the sail for it's lowest wind setting and then had a good time the the remainder to session. By, then the water had chopped up. I finished after passing 100km. I could've sailed another 90 hours (till dark), but my back was starting to ache. Getting old. Time to call it a day.

That's brilliant Hoppy. I am stoked you liked the fin. I still don't have a photo in my Inbox proving you did a better and bunta job of finishing than Tricky :-P) The cut out at the back of the fin is exactly to Wolfgang's specifications, so you are dead right to call it a Fangacher!

Hoppy: I'll pack the metal detector in case your fin falls out of board hehe :P

Carl: It's not Semaphore, so unfortunately your bum still reassembles the closest thing there is to the buxom roller blading clad babes skating past the rigging area at Sems :P

Casey: Congrats on the PBs :)

Now, for my posting !
