First run of 2019 out with Tez, Gusty NE, went for a run to Berkley very patchy. So came back and practised my Gybes. Still along way to go to match the Fox. Det showed up as we were packing up, saw some nice bear aways on the speed board.

Short after work session in a gusty NE. Arrived just as Tezza and Witto were packing up. Optimistically went out with the 7.1 and speed board as the water depth looked good. Bad move, no breeze on the inside and it had started to fade as well. Came in and swapped to the 107. Still getting used to the feel of it and spent most of the time tweaking settings to get it to sing. First time I've done a bearaway on it, actually fastest speed on the 107 for the day. Felt very settled with the Delta XT50 24 but still gonna take a lot more time to get used to it. W49 then iSonic 107, Gun GSR 7.1, UFO 18/50/10 and Delta XT50 24.

FOIL

Out with Matt in what were difficult conditions. Some bullet-like gust made it hard to get balanced. Couldn't get any good speeds but still fun to (mostly) glide over the sizeable chop. Not sure if a smaller sail would have been any better, and I think the foil needed the smaller back wing. First time I've felt the board getting blown around..!

A challenging session with Bushy in strong NE conditions. I usually revert to the freeride board when it get this strong but it was a good opportunity to see how the foil handled in decent wind. Lots of concentration required and I still managed to find the jelly fish on multiple occasions.
