Woke at 4am to driving rain and strong wind ..by 8am the rain had eased so I wandered over to Packem to hear it was '' çrap"'..mmm freezing cold and patchy as ..hung around and took some pics ..

Eventually decided to rig small and try and have a nice cruise..

One run with the 5m and lovely in the gusts but too many lulls and couldn't get upwind which you needed in that wind direction..

Rerigged the 6.2m and back out . Well powered in the gusts and got upwind well but the 20FF didn't like the patchy wind.. Swapped to the larger fin and da da ! I had a combo that worked.

Fun..just did short runs staying upwind.Not much flatwater so I'm very happy with the 2 sec.. looked better as 32.1 though..

There's a star post between the island and the launch.It's angled towards the launch and only just visible with weed over it.. Be careful! It really needs to be marked.

It seemed to be dying a little so I started my 'last' bearaway humming away, then a massive gust came through and things got untidy.. Got it together and then it was a 5 yodell run and I got the 2sec. That will teach me to go to sleep on a run..

 Planned it perfectly as the minute I decided I'd had enough for the day the wind died. Glad I didn't do the suggested trip to the spit.

 Got a few ok gybes although I was having trouble getting my feet out of the straps as I was so wedged in..

 Well that started as crap but ended up fun! Maybe it was because I had low expectations..

 I'm still waiting on that lovely 20kt reaching wind to do some runs to the spit and back..

Nice sailing with Gabe and Chris at the end. Dezza, Ric , Nudie Georgio and too many others to mention..
