Weird winds today thanks to the QLd Cyclone.

I managed a relatively short session at Sans Souci, NSW, AU, for some time at the cattery. (Rick thinks St George is for pussies - but can a wet cat go 35kts?).

iSonic 90L, Shortened VMax 4, 33-2cm fin (spins out more than it used to!), and TRXI 6.3. Sometimes too big, sometimes too small. Ferris and Richard were on about 4.7!

Had a few interesting tail walks, sheeted out with way to much wind, then bogging along in 12kt lulls. Urgh.

RS3/ Koncept 6.6/ Sonntag35

Remi and Rick out before me. Looks like all the showers were converging onto Botany. After a few we gave up and packed our gear.

Sanctuary Point, NSW, AU

IS 80, MS 5.5/6.3, 31 and 33 fin.

That was a warm, sunny and fun southerly at SP with NBR and MT making the most of it.

Was a bit ballistic at first with Brendan then averaged out with 6.3 being ideal. Unfortuntely the deck on the IS 80 didn't cope too well.

Also got some good advice from MT on where to go but not before I found the rocks on the far left which even Google earth can see, but not meCry.

Speed!

Too much wind! ABORT!!!!

Bumpy in parts, sail overloaded, but managed well. Big tail walk, the small spray captured here doesn't do the feeling justice!!!

Good looking board George! Shame the nose is so round, and in one piece!

Aborted one run with the 6.3, likely in this gust... and made it back just as the red arrows arrived!

Sudden stops from 60kph to 0 are never fun!

Looked mild in slow mod!

And I found out that today the RS3 has become my most used board ever, with 79 sessions and 3875 kms. I got it second hand in 2016, thanks Remi !

Gotta love those rocks, Barks, they’re guilty yet again 😬
