 Well that was better than last time!

 6.6m KA Koncept - 87ltre iso- 18cm tribal for 3/4hr 

 then 5m OD - 70ltre Patrick- 16cm tribal delta

I got 3/4hr of cruisey sailing before it turned ballistic.

 Best alpha of the year so far - still not over 20.. I seem to do better when i'm not trying for alphas.

It kicked in and I got one very powered up run with the 6.6m and then I hung on and  headed in as it came in. Glad I was on the shore but it was a bit of wind tunnel and I almost lost the sail once while derigging. A palm frond came off and just missed the car.. It doesn't sound much but it was a missile! 

Rigged the 5m and I needed it depowered today. Several very powered up bearaways in the lulls. One with a 9/10 fear , adrenaline , risk factor..Felt like the whole board was in the air at one time with only the fin in the H2O. The only flatwater was in amongst the weedbergs so I was tearing through them and some big tugs as I went..That's got to be 37kts...33kts??? Looks like I need to bear off more.

 I did about 4 seat of the pants bearaways but was only getting 33kts . I was tempted to try another to improve the 5 x 10 but decided it was too risky and I'd live to sail another day.. Still buzzing..

Glad to have the gear safely packed away after wrestling to unrig it in the strong wind. Milsy , Norm ( earlier), Cocky 2, Dizzy, Jeff , Larko, Lyd's and some others..

The tribals let go quite a bit today ( luckily not in the bearaways)..The FF are certainly better in chop but they pickup weed at low speeds and I think they would have been too deep and deadly in the bergs today. The tribals generally slice through the bergs but they were tugging today ( especially the 18 when I wasn't as powered up.- enough to pursuade me to stay out of there..).

The graphs certainly underread- if it's gusting 20-25kts it's actually ballistic 30kts plus

had no problems with sail new way of rigging seems to be working

just too choppy for me so i cruised around

was ruffer 2day than mon, for me & realy gusty.

was going most of the time but under done on the 5m & a few

times not enough.

lined up a few gusts but was not flat unless u timed it right, after a lull.
