Stuffed around too long. I should have gone out straight away but I believed the forecast and was waiting for it to peak to guage sail size.
Decided on a small sail big board for comfort combo. I expected it to be stronger and rougher so I'd bought my chop friendly board rather than the 87 iso. We actually had some flatbits because the wind wasn't that strong so I would have been ok on the iso.
I even bought rope to tie my sail to a tree in the wind tunnel of 7th ave but it never really got that strong..
Patchy, underdone. Got the 2sec and alpha when I first went out with the 5.5m and there were a few stronger gusts.
Came in and rigged the 7m. Still off the plane a lot but more fun in the gusts although still not powered up so I didn't bother doing many bearaways. Sunny, mild for a westerly and others to sail with so it was quite pleasant. Even though I've been getting out regularly I still noticed my lack of fitness today although i think I've got a low grade headcold going on in the background. That could have sapped some energy.
