FOIL

A great session with an initially increasing wind and then slowly dying off towards the end. I was able to use & compare 3 different foils - the race 900, the race 800 and the GT-R. The 900 performs very well with the 9m sail - it feels very balance both up & down wind and has the edge on the 800 out of gybes and tacks. The speed difference feels very small. The biggest surprise was the GT-R / 8m combo. It was the most fun of the 3 with surprising upwing speed at an angle not much less than the race foil (I think - always hard to tell when you are out by yourself). I think I recorded an 18.9 knot upwind NM on this foil. What a hoot!

I was packing up when Chris arrived so missed out on a team session!
