As usual....arrived late for a sail at Holloways with Billy and Benny. Both were on the water when I arrived....not sure how long they were

out for but they could not be seen from where I was setting up. Anyway the wind looked good as I had been at the Palm Beach markets

speaking with Eddy and saw Cam 'I think' off Palm getting some numbers up so though a sail might be a good idea.

Set up and out I went.....first run down passed Yorkeys was good and then turned to come back and nothing for quite a while.

Made it back to the beach waydown wind from the car so out again to try to pick up a little ground...big slog then finally back on the plan

to car....that was it.....could not be bothered slogging it out for another run!!

Billy and Benny finished up as I was packing up.  Apparently not as good as yesterday I was informed and could have been doing something else...

anything else but out there in that s#@t.

Holloways Beach, QLD, AU

Cry That made it to the "Top 10 Worst Sails"...Looked great when we arrived, plenty of white caps and solid up on the grassed area.....thats where it ended. Out on the water is was a very different matter. Shifty, gutless and was marginal at best. Decided to have a "dredge of shame" rather that walk the gear back to the parking spot. Met up with Fred at the mouth of the Tomatis Creek, who also got caught out in a wind shift.

Never mind, you get that. Used: WT72, WT43 and 7.8 OD M2

Another Light light wind little arvo sail with B1 & Freddo off the mud pit...

Received a call from Freddo just after midday reporting from the Palm Cove markets where Ed the Fox was busy "keeping up appearances" sipping on lattes in between luxury soap sales...  The word on the street suggested conditions might be worth rigging up for as Dr Cam was seen out on the water blasting out some runs entertaining the pretty girls on the beach off Clifton/Palm Cove.

So a quick decision was made to meet up at our local haunt.  Wind looked to be ok on arrival, but once out on the water, it was evident the Wind Gods had deceived us!!  Lucky I chose to rig the big hanky again today- the extra horsepower made the difference to keep up on the plane for the majority of the time in the lulls.

Was quite content cruising around with the ribs feeling more tender than yesterday!! Yell

All still better than house chores!

Used "Big Woody" Futura 124, Severne M2 8.6, Venom 48

Bowen, QLD, AU: windsurfer class race - definitely not speedy but excellent. The track is one of seven races ( and a bit of post race mucking around)

Yer was watching the Doc have a blast off Palm Cove while sipping coffee with Fast Freddie and his charming wife and my mate Andrew from tropical water sports and his wife and kids all good fun. Wind was due east just enough to stir up some white caps so Freddie did the ring around to find some play mates bought a bar of soap and bolted to the beach. Our season is almost over so we have to take what we can get at the moment. Well done guys.
