Stanley, TAS, AU, An early morning sail with Dave at West Inlet. Was only 12 to 15 knots when we arrived but the wind was suposed to

pick up after low tide. We rigged up then waited more than an hour for the wind. The first runs it was WSW which was a good angle.

The wind then switched West at 25 to 35 knots which made the run a little broard and rough. Would have been easier on a smaller board and sail but no complaints.

Iso 55, Mach2 6.2, CL26W.

West Inlet, Stanley

iSonic 55 | MACH2 6.2 | Tribal WS 23

Another sail at West Inlet within 12hrs (evening low tide, followed by the morning low tide)!  As Cookie said, was good for the first few runs and then swung a bit too broad and increased in strengh quite a bit.  Great spot and good fun, but a bit over-powered with the 6.2 on the 76L board once the wind came in.  Tide was also coming in pretty quick, reducing the window of opportunity to work out where and how to get the best run!  Can't wait to get back though, as a great spot to sail!

Drove back to Hobart and had another quick sail at Dorans.  Same gear but with a 5.5 as it was howling.  Well done Steve on your 37knot top spped, very gutsy in those conditions (windy-as)!

Great wild FSW sail. Exocet cross 84 with 28 free ride fin. Was on the 4.7 wave Kaos when I should have been on the 4.

Dorans, TAS, AU    IS 76, Koncept 4.3, VDWS 27

Wild conditions today, but took it ultra-slow getting some confidence back after the big off last week. Used the Koncept for the first time, such an easy sail to handle in the wild wind, managed to resist all temptation to sheet in and power up but was still going 23 or 24 knots fully sheeted out in the gusts.

Great stuff Dave making the big journey from Hobart to Stanley and back. Then a short sail at Dorans in balistic conditions. Then making 2 trips to town and back from your placeCool Thats the windiest I have seen Dorans in well over a year.

Yeah, Dave and Steve were taking some chances, and well done Will and Karen on some pretty gutsy sailing.  Karen, I think you were out in the windiest part of the afternoon with some 40+ knot gusts coming through (they were rocking my car around when you were sailing), it calmed down to about 35 knot gusts when the rest of us went out Tongue out

Yes Tim. I was sailing along half the time sheeted right out. Had to have 5 min rests in between each lap. Clinging on with my biceps.
