Liptons, Windtech 64, SV M2 7.0, Lockwood delta 20

Short sail due to very patchy wind, initially couldn't get going at all. Finally wind picked up enough to sail over to Pt Grey and got a lovely run in glassy water conditions. Second time I tried it I was about 50m behind Hardie and slightly to windward when he was brought to an abrupt stop by a rock and demolished his favourite Pepe Delta fin. Wind then started dying again so cut it short.

Rock is roughly where the head of the arrow is, relatively close in to the point. Hardie is going to see if he can mark it tomorrow.

A relaxed cruisy session with very few out. Wind was almost consistent. What a difference a day makes.

Went for a sail after finishing a job which prevented me from joining the Pinna celebration last night.

Decided to launch next to the kiters beach and walk out through the shallows. Gusts were apparently no more than 20 knots but while foiling felt a lot more than that! I was foiling nicely near the first pylon when I hit something big. It wasnt the sand bank but something heavy enough to catapult me hard enough to snap a harness line and dent my old faithful isonic 117. Sailed back to shore and called it a day. Spotted Tim putting in the Ks and doing some nice gybes.

Stroppo, the foil came out unscathed luckily. Must have been a big fish or dolphin? Didnt see any crab nets in the water either.

Kenny glad your okay, gear damage can be fixed. Not great when you are just cruising and then come to a crashing stop.
