forecast was looking very promising but forecasts dont mention GUSTYNESS!!! out on the maiden voyage with the BRAND SPANKERS NEW 2020 NP V8 7.7. OMG shes a frikkin BEAST. Having been out on only 6.2 &5.7 & 5.0 it was a whole new world of potential hurt. Everything needed a tweak as i had the very unnearving feeling of being thrown over the handle bars at a velocity to leave me somewhere in tomorrow (prob without kit!). Anyhow it was coming together until..... well it got a bit stronger. Bottom clew hole and she was sort of tamable but the extra DH let her breath & let off some steam, still too scarey!! Anyhow I was also watching martin zoom around, swim, splat & kick back with a brew as he was under finned & over sailed.
It was a difficult day to get new kit out which acted nothing like the previous 7.7. Im sure that it will be a winner once we accept each other.
Drew was out in the earlier lighter part of the forecast and chose correctly.
