Nice morning foil sesh at Peli. Cool

Looked fresh in the middle when I arrived, I could see whitecaps, so I rigged the 5.7 Force and put the 65 wing on the foil.

First few runs on this combo were great, then it dropped off, so I went in and rigged my shiny new 7.1 Simmer Enduro that I picked up from Jesper yesterday.

I also swapped over the wing for the 76.

Of course it booted back in!  Couldn't face another sail change, so swapped back to the 65 wing.

Pretty lit on the 7.1, but the small wing made it manageable. Smile

The Enduro is a great foiling sail, very light (5 battens) and nice and spongy for pumping onto the foil.

Had a some great runs on this set-up. Laughing

Albany, WA, AU 54 Manta, 5.4K, 16 Tribal delta

First sail (other than one short, painful and aborted attempt) after cracking a rib at Liptons 6 weeks ago. I was in Denmark for a wedding (The bride's family could not come from overseas and someone had to be there) and I nipped over to Lilacs for a quick sail before heading home. The weather was mostly cloudy, with patches of sunshine, 16 - 20 knots E and an ideal tide, with full sailing area and plenty of flat water, and no one out except me. I was wary of my lack of fitness  after nearly 6 weeks of no sailing,  so I didn't go for any nautical miles or hours, I just played around and had fun. No pain for the ribs, and the muscles coped very well. I only took 2 boards and two sails and even using the biggest of those I was never really powered up, so no great speeds. Definitely a top 10 Lilacs day.

Looks like a worthwhile Albany session Anita.

I got down to foilville before lunch to see Lunny's new creation, a shmick looking foil board which he christened on her maiden voyage Laughing. Wind looked strong but I opted for course racing at MBYC in the arvo when there wasnt any wind even for foiling. The LT's ended up smoking us despite the 5min head start.Embarassed
