Primbee, NSW, AU.  Strong and gusty SSW.  Very deep water, only the odd weedberg

Not as rainy as I thought it would be but mighty cold.  Detlev did the sacrifical windmeter run and deemed the 5.6 / 5.7 / 5.8s were the weapon of choice.  Fanatic Falcon 80, Gun Sails Weed Control 23.

Gusty SW @ Primbee with lots of water. Glad the rain held off and we got a sail. Went out first with the Slalom and 7.1 until it picked up, changed to speed board and 5.6. In hindsight I could've comfortably used the 6.4 much of the time. Spent some time tweaking my setup to handle the chop a bit better than my last sail. It definitely paid dividends as the board now glides over the top of the chop much better and the speed impact was noticeable. I'm always amazed by how a cm here or there can have a profound impact at speed. Good to catch up with the crew. Gun GSR 7.1, Naish SP95, UFO 24/50/10 then Gun GSR 5.6, Carbonart W44, UFO 24/50/10.

Lake Illawarra, NSW, AU   Out in the back yard, cold and choppy, along the edge to the wharf, strong SSW.

Drift back home for a hot wetsuit shower.

                                       Rocket 95l   Zeta 5.0

Primbee, NSW, AU

Seemed like I spent my whole session working my way up wind today. It wasn't the best direction for Primbee and the wind was gustier than I thought it would be for a SW'r but still well worth a sail.  Tried again after lunch but the wind was really starting to back off. Well done to Jetlag too, he was sailing really well today making the most of the conditions.

5.8 evo7, 46cm wide Neil, 21cm weedy.
