Port Douglas, QLD, AU. Yeah went down the beach after work at 2 clock to have lunch. saw there was a nice breeze blowing looked like maybe a nice blast on big gear. Was feeling rather shagged so didn't want any thing too serious..By the time i got back to beach wind had picked up so decided to lite up 105 Fox with no cam 7m big fin. Did a few laps with Rick who was on Kelly's old 107 Iso and 6.5 rig and wind freshened up to a solid 20kts and it was 'game on'.Had to put 7m in to full crank down mode and the sea chopped up big time..Did about an Hr and realised i left my GPS in ute, wasn't going to worry about it but thought it may have been left on bonnet  of car and some clown might steal it so had  to walk back to car park and get it was a bit' pissed off' with my self had to spend the rest of the session playing catch up had to sail till almost dark just to put a few kms on gps..Rick sailed well but ran out of fuel early as he was getting a bit over powered but think he went home happy.. Andrew came out for a blast but left all his small toys at home and started to get over powered as well in a choppy sea..105 Fox ran sweet  and never put a foot wrong it got a bit nervous a few times but still totaly in control  would of been a bit quicker with a smaller fin but i wasn't gunna make another trip to the car park way to much effort..Guess it was worth rigging up for..Cheers Ed..

Tony, a couple of GPSTC sailors in Mackay, myself and Sailpilot. Might be a chance for a big gear sail this weekend. Illawong beach park is the launch spot, sailable from 3.5m of tide. Enough water from mid afternoon tomorrow. Visitors always made very welcome.
