sboardcrazy (24391km): 15- c 23kts S then dying to 10-19kts Valentine, NSW, AU 5m gator - WT57 ( 90ltres) - 28 WT weedy then 5.7m gator I haven't sailed Valentine for ages and it showed..Good fun. I'll have to make the effort more often. It's a 50mins drive rather than 40 min to Coal but if it's a true S well worth it. I was really tired from yesterday so I rigged for the gusts to have an easy sail. It was pretty patchy but fun in the gusts..I was wishing I had more sail as there were a few flatter areas in the middle and I would have liked to see how fast I could go.... Still any day over 26kts on the lake is a good one.. The chop at Valentine certainly has more potential for speed than off Coal.. I seem to be able to get 26kts often - now I'd like to get 27 or 28kts.. My gybing is crap with that board..I'm ok in underpowered ones where I finish clew first but pretty rs powering in..I was surprised that I got better with the bigger sail?.. maybe I was improving or? I used freeride sails as I was tired and thought the gybing and waterstarting would be easier but maybe the cammed sails would have more power to exit the gybes? Anyway much more practise needed.. I rigged the bigger Gator but I only got a few runs and it was dying. I couldn't be bothered rigging up so called it quits.. Just me and Collin the foiling kiter. Andrew foiled past and Mick turned up as I was packing up..
