Kyeemagh, NSW, AU. NE 19-24kn. JP 135, SB GTR, NP 5.7m Hellcat. Went out at 5:30pm just as several others gave up on the wind, then it picked up...

Finally got to use a smaller no-cam sail with skinny mast - so much easier with the lighter rig and much more controllable in the gusty conditions, despite it picking up to the point of being substantially overpowered at times. Went for a heap of gybes, managed a couple and had many glorious stacks railing the board, backwinding the sail, falling off the back and lauching the board into the air etc etc

New top speed over 24.5kn. Next target 25kn Yell Still something wrong with the GW60 though, not recording full distance - it's going back to the shop!

Hi Jules on the GW60 settings, is minimum speed set to 0? If it’s set to something higher it doesn’t record any distance under that speed

Sorry Dezza, just saw your post and thanks for the pointer. Yes, Min speed set to zero, Seems to really struggle both connecting to any satellite then actually holding a signal.

Dit it subtract your stacks.. ? in that case put the min speed to minus 10 Smile

 

great speed foiling, it took me months to get to 20 !
