Short session as wind died on me . 

Nelson  - Ackerstern St low tide. Wind NW then NNW 20 gusting 30knots.

Went out fully powered up on 6.6, it felt slow but I got 34.xx (max) showing up on the GW52 after a few runs. So I new was trimmed well and went upwind for a NM downwinder! But it was not to be. as the wind died on my way back and I didn't have power to go off the wind....but just had enough to get back to the launch site without walking/swimming . 

Some notes on the NM....The wind angle today was more like NNW as it took me 6 tacks to get up to the northern channel. This wind angle also caused short rolling chop near the bolderbank (chop about knee hieght) so even if the wind remained I doubt it was going to be a very fast NM.  So a good indicator for a NM run is the ability to sail up the channel with zero or atleast less then 6 tacks!
