got my ass handed to me today hahahaha,

good fun though, been a few years since I sailed here in an easterly, and the lancelin forecast looked septic so decided to drive south...

6.3m 53sp 16 delta speed.

Made the call pretty late on Sat morning to abandon lancelin, and mission down. When I got there the other guys had been pulling 41s, and Ronny had his big NM, so it was ON. Contemplated rigging 5.7m but it looked like 6.3m so went with that. Glad I did. Had a few nice runs- but stupidly finished short on the NM . Wind started to konk out before I got a 5x10 (only 4 over 40), since I was trying for NMs. Ron and I had a great run together towards- he nailed a gust in front of me and got his best peak for the day! I got there a few seconds later and upwind, but didn't feel it.

As the wind continued to get gustier and backed off, I decided to have a crack at alphas since the water was sooooo flat. Didn't get one powered up the whole time due to the wind fade, but it felt great for the powered bits. I might have to try a few more of those next time
