Melville Beach, WA, AU.   Only had a small window of opportunity due to other commitments.   Wind was howl'n and rigged 6.3, Slowy saying I was crazy as he rigged same.  Went out, was ok for a few seconds, wind died then struggled the whole time to get moving, sail was feeling weird, let too much downhaul off didn't help and couldn't get pull it back on.   Had close encounter with big dolphin which caused a double take then had to finish.  Pretty much dog breakfast sail.   Thankfully Slowy helped point out the multiple rigging errors I'd made so at least have piles of stuff to try next time (owe more coffee thanks).  iSonic 86, KAR6.3, FF22

Coodanup, WA, AU Lovely afternoon but I just couldn’t seem to get my mojo going, first I was overpowered, then I was under powered…only rigged a 5, should have rigged bigger I guess. Hoping for a better day tomorrow. Rigged at Beacham st…a ranger turned up as I was de rigging and was about to fine cars for parking on the grass…I managed to sweet talk him to give us a break…he was pretty nice about it. Don’t park on the grass, even though the barrier is still open, he will fine us next time 🙁

Not optimal conditions but very pleasant none the less in the sun with Kevin, Fangy, Jay, Gloria and the local Ranger who didn't like my parking.  I'm off on a cruise to NZ 2moro so.......!

Liptons

Short session with great company. Way underpowered but happy in clean salty water with sunshine. Good end of week therapy. Falcon 56 Evo 5.8 wp 27

Peel Inlet, WA, AU

Pnt Grey with a great bunch. First time on the FMX 52 wide. A bit hairy at first but slowly got used to it. Happy with a 36 for its first run.

Peel Inlet, WA, AU

Not ideal conditions but managed to time a couple of nice gusts and get some decent speeds.

Pelican Point - Was going to head down to Point Grey to have my first go on the flats of Mandurah but had to head off to deal with a house alarm issue out in Chidlow, so that put paid to that plan (not sure what people would have thought seeing my car head out to the hills fully laden with windsurfing gear). Luckily, there was reasonable wind on the river, so had a half decent sail with my first run on this board. I'm hoping it will be a decent speed board-high wind slalom compromise. It eats chop which is handy! Patrik Slalom85/Patrik P-Slalom 30/SV Turbo5.5

Liptons.

A bit underwhelming unfortunately.  Expected it to be stronger, and potentially boot late arvo, so rigged the 6.3 SCR + 57 Windtech.

Way underdone and I struggled to find any speed.

Still a fun little fang around, but it dropped towards the end of the sesh, and I didn't want to risk getting stranded on the wrong side of the channel, so I ended up walking back from Liptons corner.

I also lost my Oakleys after crashing coming out of a gybe Cry

Apart from that that it was enjoyable.

Well done, Gloria, two top 5 scores today, and thanks for sweet talking the ranger.

Are we allowed to park on the grass on the other side?

Thanks Gloria. If I had sweet talked him he would have fined us for littering as well.

Great job Gloria:-)  Anita you can park anywhere outside the area fenced off by the bollards, just don't obstruct the footpath.

Good speeds, Lads. How smooth was it over at Point Grey?

Incredible speeds from those sailing around Mandurah with underpowered conditions. Imagine if you lot were powered up!

It was pretty choppy at Pt Grey Anita.  No real smooth anywhere at Liptons today.

I wish, Anita! I'm off to support a mate doing the Busso Jetty swim this weekend and then off to Niseko for some snowboarding so hopefully still some wind left at the end of the month!
