Marmong Point, NSW, AU

What an enjoyable afternoon sailing with Ákos at the club!

8-12 knots NE WITHOUT JELLIES. Don't ask me where they went to but we hardly saw a few at all. Should we be so lucky that they got lost !!!

Fanatic Skywing 130(?), 1500, 5m wing

Thanks Antman and Jen for the board.

Was a great day for sailing.  One nice long run over to the sand islands and then trying to learn to gybe.  Did n gybes and fell in n-3 times.  It felt like n was about 100, but I spose it was a lot less

Patchy 10-19kts ENE-NE few puffs to 20kts Peely Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU- level 0.29

7m ODM2- RS2 ( 90ltres) - 22cms Atomic then

RS4 ( 112ltres with 24cms Atomic nuclear weed ( 1st go)

It was predicted to be mainly 12-13kts with some puffs to 20 so I rigged for the lulls. That combo was fun in the stronger stuff. Not a lot of flats unless you went above the pole and then the wind was dodgy. I got the speeds in the 15 cms chop.

It started to come in stronger but got patchier so I went in and got the bigger board to go for some distance. I got a good gust on the first run in the chop and got the 2 sec.

My current Pb for the big board is 30.8kts so I should be able to imrpove on that with the new fin in smooth conditions.

The first time with Andrews turn counter.

63 turns (minus a few for a rest so about 58 gybes) 30 alphas ( within the radius).

I'm taking a few rests lately. The last 7m powered session was 2hrs sailing with an average 170 bpm heartrate hitting 190..My cardiologist says if I'm not having any issues it's ok but I figured I should let it settle down occasionally.Laughing

I wasn't going for any as it was too patchy for me  to get a decent entry and exit.

I thought that would be a PB location distance for Peely but it hasn't shown as such. It's a PB year distance.

Looking forward to some powered bearaways in LM  chop..Tongue out

Jimmy's beach, nsw, au. 100 jibes a day keeps the Dr away. Forgot to post this one, still frothing over it.
The wind was over 20kts.
I used the 7.5 Lion stright back from sail repair and it was nice. 120ltr f-race. 40cm patrick fin. I had one big scary spinout. Perhaps weed? So i tried the 28FF.
Like my last 100 turn 60k session, i was in a magic place on that. It can feel very comfortable when right.
I'm not sure which fin got the top speed, they were very close.
No idea why not going faster as the starboard run is moslty bearing away i think. Getting bummed out trying for speed so i'm trying to forget about it for now. Both me and mobdog can not get over 25kts here. We think it is the place. Would love someone to come and show us otherwise.

Jibes is what i want to do for now.
I got a 19 delta for my carve99 board and will take it to Budgy maybe in winter and try to get some speed there.

This session the jibes were going great, many felt like planing jibes. I see one very wide turn is 12kt minimum so atleast that is indeed a planing jibe.
I am super stoked about that.
It was the goal for this season and it has happened early.
This is really my first planing jibes. Now i am confident i can get 20kt alpha this season here. Then again, i thought i'd be going 30kts spped on this new kit. Nope. Cool so we'll see.

I am also really enjoying vlogging (youtube) about my windsurfing journey.
I have the idea to make a video for any PB. But it takes time. And i havn't got vid ready for this one yet but it's a beauty i think. It makes the stoke last for days and days going over footage.

Hey Tibor - we had the Jellies.  In one really weird dense clump and then another solid line as you crossed the new channel.  I've sent them back up to you.

Thanks Anita. It would have been nice to have consistent wind but it was fun.
